When it’s time to decide on the type of roofing material for your next project you need a product that can stand up to heavy foot traffic and Mother Nature’s ever-changing climate. That’s where modified bitumen roofing comes in. With a modified bitumen system, or mod bit as it's referred to, the chances for leaks are almost non-existent thanks to advances in technology. These newer systems are also easier to patch, which means less expense if there is an issue and a much lighter maintenance program.
Mod bit roofing is an asphalt-based membrane blended with rubber modifiers and solvents, plasticizers, and UV inhibitors. It is known for its durability and has a wide variety of applications. Such as hospitals, downtown high-rises, condos, most high-end buildings, and concrete decked structures.
Although the costs associated with a mod bit roofing project are slightly higher than other options, we’d be hard-pressed to recommend a better option for your project. A team from McEnany Roofing & Contracting showed up this week to repair a portion of our roof. We had put a ticket through the Villas of Carrillon HOA ticket system. The team consisted of 3 guys: Luis, Joel and Pastor. In addition to having great personalities, they were also very professional and quickly assessed the damage and went to work on the repairs. 4 days later it's done and I'm a happy camper with them and the HOA Management company that put them in action.
